Eric has been serving Richmond's insurance needs while working for Allstate for over 34 years.  In January 2012, he and Kent Carson decided to become Independent Insurance Agents and opened Armstrong & Carson Insurance Exchange.

 

He is a native of Charleston, SC.  He received a degree in Business Administration from St. Augustine College in Raleigh, NC.  Eric and his wife Ernestine have three adult children.

 

Eric is active in several civic organizations, including: Hope in the Cities, and Richmond Hill. He also is finds joy volunteering within his community and mentoring children in local schools.

Doug has been part of the Insurance Industry since 2001, working for Allstate and Liberty Mutual.  He has experience on both the direct writing and independent side of insurance business.  His goal is to always build a long lasting relationship with the clients.  

 

He has a house full of pets and in his spare time he enjoys grilling, camping, playing drums, and attending local college and professional sporting events.

Kent started in the Insurance Industry in 1997 working for his father, a 25 year Allstate Agent.  He bought his father's book of business in 1999 which he ran until December 2011.  In January 2012, Kent became an Independent Insurance Agent, partnered with Eric Armstrong, and opened Armstrong & Carson Insurance Exchange.

 

Local to the area, Kent grew up in Richmond and currently resides in Powhatan, Va, with his wife Stephanie and two children, Isabelle and James.  If he is not in the office you can find him cheering on his children at their baseball, soccer, lacrosse, or basketball game.

Jonathan, a 2007 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, is the newest addition to the Armstrong & Carson team. In 2017 he decided to leave a career in education for the world of Insurance sales. He hopes his outgoing personality and sincere desire to help, will allow him to be the insurance professional our clients seek & deserve. 

 

When not working Jonathan enjoys good food, good friends, and good times. Jonathan loves being a Richmonder and takes pride in experiencing the city’s growth first hand. He is a new father to a beautiful baby girl and is looking forward to all joys of parenthood.
